Craving something fresh, flavourful, and a little different for your next meal? Say hello to Pork Gyros – a simple dish packed with Mediterranean goodness and bold flavour. Whether you're planning a quick weeknight dinner or something to impress your guests, this recipe is your go-to.

Why We Love It

Gyros are one of Greece’s most beloved street foods – juicy meat, soft warm pita, creamy tzatziki, and fresh veggies all wrapped up into one delicious bite. This homemade version is incredibly easy to make, especially when you have the right seasoning on hand.

We’re using Poppamies Grill Mix Seasoning, which adds that authentic grilled flavour with zero hassle. It’s smoky, savoury, and just a little bit spicy – perfect for pork and other grilled dishes.

Pork Gyros Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 150g of pork, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 2 tsp of Grill Mix Seasoning

  • 1 tbsp of oil

  • ½ red bell pepper, thinly sliced

For serving:

  • Gyros pita bread

  • Tzatziki

  • Fresh tomatoes

  • Sliced red onions

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the pork, red bell pepper slices, oil and Grill Mix Seasoning. Make sure everything is well coated.

  2. Heat a pan until hot and cook the pork and bell peppers for 5–6 minutes, stirring occasionally, until golden and cooked through.

  3. Warm your gyros pita (in the pan or oven).

  4. Assemble: spread tzatziki on the pita, top with the pork and bell pepper mix, then add tomatoes and red onions.

  5. Wrap, fold, or enjoy open-faced – your call!

Tips & Variations

  • Add a few fries for a real Greek-style gyros experience.

  • Swap pork for chicken or mushrooms for a lighter or vegetarian version.

  • Want extra flavour? A drizzle of Cherry & Cola BBQ Sauce adds a fun twist!

This Pork Gyros is a fast favourite – bursting with flavour, easy to customise, and oh-so-satisfying. Perfect for sunny lunches, family dinners, or your next backyard gathering.
